A look at ACC Preseason Players of the Year who didn't win the end-of-season honor

Three times in the past seven years, the preseason Player of the Year has lost out to a teammate. Tyler Hansbrough was the reigning ACC Player of the Year when he was picked to win it again before the 2008-09 season. While he had another All-American season and helped lead the Tar Heels to the NCAA title, voters ended up naming point guard Ty Lawson the league's top player.
