Forward scored 12 points off the bench and set the tone for No. 15 North Carolina’s frontcourt in its 81-79 road victory over N.C. State on Wednesday. In the first half, the 6-foot-8 forward was Carolina’s leading post scorer with 8 points on 4-of-4 shooting. In total, Hicks finished with 12 points on 6-of-7 shooting in 21 minutes.
