The Quality of UNC's losses

Examining North Carolina's losses after the season it is clear that the overwhelming majority of the defeats came against good, even great teams. All but one loss came against teams that would go on to win at least one game in the NCAA Tournament. Eight of the losses would come against eventual Sweet Sixteen teams.
