Matt Harvey strikes out 9 in 6 innings in return from Tommy John surgery

On Thursday afternoon, Mets wunderkind Matt Harvey returned to the big leagues after a 19-month absence due to Tommy John surgery. And he did not disappoint. In six scoreless innings, Harvey struck out nine Nationals and walked one, allowing three singles and one double. He threw 88 pitches -- he was on a "soft" 90-pitch limit -- including 63 strikes.
