Tar Heels poised for return to top
Posted Mar 11, 2007
The Tar Heels last won the ACC tournament in 1998, when many of their current standouts weren't long out of elementary school. That Carolina intends to collect another championship was evident in the first semifinal of the 54th annual ACC tournament. Top-seeded UNC raced to a 71-56 victory over fourth-seeded Boston College at the St. Pete Times Forum in a game notable for a lack of suspense.
