UNC pitcher Trent Thornton said he has deal with Astros

UNC right-handed pitcher Trent Thornton told FOX 26 Sports he reached a contract agreement with the Astros on Thursday. Thornton was taken by the Astros in the fifth round (139 overall) of the MLB First-Year Player Draft on Tuesday. He said the deal is pending successful completion of his physical, which he said will take place Saturday in Florida.
