Year after dad’s murder, Ellington’s larger reason to join Nets

Wayne Ellington had arguably the most successful season of his six-year NBA career last season with the Lakers, averaging 10 points per game and shooting 37 percent from the field. But while Ellington was re-establishing himself as an NBA player in Los Angeles, he also was dealing with the aftermath of the November murder of his father in Philadelphia.
