History suggests fewer players betters chance at national title

Playing a 12-man rotation is great, especially early in the season when the games really don’t mean that much. It helps to keep your best players fresh for the grueling stretch run. More important, it keeps everyone at least somewhat happy. But now that we’ve reached that time of year when one loss means you’re heading home, team chemistry isn’t nearly as important as winning games.
