The Yankees traded for Dustin Ackley Thursday afternoon, shipping two mid-level prospects to the Seattle Mariners in return. (The Yankees sent outfielder Ramon Flores and pitcher Jose Ramirez to the M's.) It's kind of a surprising move, given that they Yankees already have a plethora of left-handed bats, but one that manager Joe Giardi seemed genuinely excited about when he spoke before Thursday's game in Texas.
