Terps storm back: UNC unable to stem rally by Maryland
Posted Feb 26, 2007
UNC fell apart in a tight, tense finish last night and tumbled out of sole possession first place in the ACC for the second time in a month. Determined and composed Maryland charged back from 12 points down with 7:13 left to grab an 89-87 decision at the Comcast Center. UNC trailed 89-84 with 56.5 seconds left after Maryland's onslaught but had a chance to force a tie and possibly overtime in the final five seconds.
