Buckingham’s Late Goal Earns UNC Women's Soccer A 1-1 Draw
Posted Sep 4, 2015
Megan Buckingham’s return from injury was well-timed for the third-ranked UNC women’s soccer team as her goal with less than three minutes remaining allowed the Tar Heels to tie 25th-ranked California Friday night 1-1 in the Duke Nike Classic at Koskinen Stadium. Buckingham sent a blast off the hands of Cal goalkeeper Emily Boyd into the back of the net with just 2:52 left in regulation time.
