Yates, Scott, Taylor waived as NFL teams trim rosters

Former Tar Heels T.J. Yates (quarterback, Atlanta Falcons), Tim Scott (defensive back, Dallas Cowboys), and Ryan Taylor (tight end, Kansas City Chiefs) were waived by their respective teams as NFL clubs trimmed their rosters to a league-mandated 53 players ahead of Saturday's 4pm deadline.
