Former coach denies ordering blindside hit on ref, as governing body issues discipline

The Texas football coach accused of directing players to attack an official during a game earlier this season has been disciplined by the University Interscholastic League, the governing body for public school athletics in Texas. Mack Breed, the coach at John Jay High in San Antonio who resigned after the incident, has been suspended for the remainder of the 2015-16 school year, given a public reprimand and placed on two years probation by the UIL.
