Yankees hitting coach sees sustainability in Ackley’s late-season improvements

There’s a reason Dustin Ackley didn’t cost much at the trade deadline. Two soon-to-be-out-of-options minor leaguers were enough to acquire a former No. 2 overall draft pick only because Ackley was hitting just .215/.270/.366 in Seattle, and his big league track record suggested he wasn’t capable of much more.
