Dick Vitale certainly has been a big part of it since joining ESPN in its infant stages in 1979. In that time, the legendary color analyst estimates he’s had the privilege of calling 40 or so Duke-Carolina games, his heart doing the same gymnastics routine every time. "When I see those uniforms in the warm-up drills, it gets the blood pumping like you couldn’t believe," he says.
