Ty Lawson is ACC's top rookie

Along with 23 other nearsighted visionaries, my preseason vote for ACC rookie of the year went to Georgia Tech's Thaddeus Young. North Carolina's Ty Lawson, who finished second to Young in the preseason vote, is going to win. At worst, it's Lawson's race to lose -- and, folks, he's fast. His closest competition probably will be Duke's Jon Scheyer, N.C. State's Brandon Costner and Lawson's teammate, Brandan Wright. (Raleigh News & Observer)
