Ty Lawson Named ACC Rookie Of The Week

Carolina freshman point guard Ty Lawson was named the ACC?Rookie of the Week on Jan. 29, becoming the third Tar Heel this season to win the award (joining five-time winner Brandan Wright and Wayne Ellington). Lawson scored a season-high 18 points and had eight assists, just one turnover and four steals in Carolina's 92-64 win at 17th-ranked Arizona Saturday.
