ACC tournament tiebreaking procedures explained

North Carolina and Miami are tied atop the ACC standings with one week to go. More importantly, coach Jim Larranaga’s Hurricanes — by virtue of tiebreakers — are the first team to clinch an all-important double bye in the upcoming ACC tournament. The Tar Heels can also secure their spot in the Thursday quarterfinals by beating Syracuse on Monday. (Wilmington Star News)
