Tar Heels Grab No. 1 Ranking In Both National Polls

Carolina moved up to No. 1 in both the Associated Press and ESPN/USA Today coaches polls this week after three weeks at No. 2 in both polls. This week marks Carolina's first appearance atop the national polls during the regular season since the week of Feb. 18, 2001. (UNC?was ranked No. 1 in the coaches poll in the postseason after winning the 2005 NCAA?championship.)
