Ex-UNC ball boy is ready for bigger role

Akeem has the same dream many young N.C. basketball players do: He wants to play in Chapel Hill. The difference is, Southern Lee sophomore Akeem Richmond might actually have the game to get himself there. Richmond, 5-foot-10, averages 23.5 points and four assists. When he was 10, he impressed Tar Heels coaches enough -- with his skill and personality -- that they asked him to be a ball boy. (Charlotte Observer)
