Team USA Field Hockey Opens Olympic Play With Win Over No. 2 Argentina

The U.S. Women’s Field Hockey Team, which includes five UNC alums, opened Olympic play Saturday with a surprising 2-1 win over Argentina, currently ranked second in the world and a favorite in the medal race in Rio. Tar Heels on the team are goalkeeper Jackie Briggs, Rachel Dawson, Katelyn Falgowski, Kelsey Kolojejchick and Caitlin Van Sickle.
