Challenge gives a glimpse of teams' relative strengths

The Atlantic Coast Conference continues to own the ACC-Big Ten Challenge, coming out on top for the eighth time in as many tries. No need to get too excited, though. This apparent sign of dominance, while satisfying, has little bearing in the long run – only once in the event's first seven years did the ACC end a season with more NCAA entrants than the Big Ten.
