The greatest motivating factor for Mohamed Bamba: “The odds that are stacked against me to fulfill my dream; not just for the NBA but to get a basketball scholarship. There’s a slim chance for both if you look at the numbers. That’s what I think about every time that I take the court. I’ve got to make it. I’m a young, black man in Harlem and you see a lot in my environment. I want to beat the odds.”
