Cubs' Tim Federowicz Called up from Triple-A

Tim Federowicz was called up by the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday. Federowicz bit the bullet and accepted an outright assignment after being designated for assignment in June, and his patience has been rewarded as he will come up to join the expanded September roster. A .194/.245/.297 career hitter at the major league level, he will merely provide depth. (CBS Sports)
