Syracuse brings improved team to North Carolina

Perhaps the biggest reason Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim thought that this year’s Orange team would be elite was the team’s projected depth. But after starting 8-6 and 0-1 in the ACC — with that loss coming by 15 points to Boston College — the Orange are 3-1 in their last four (all league games), with perhaps the biggest reason being that Syracuse cut its lineup down to six or seven players.
