UNC Basketball No. 8 In Both Polls

North Carolina moved up in each of the two major basketball polls on Monday after a pair of wins last week at NC State and at home over then-No. 14 Virginia. The Tar Heels are No. 8 in this week's Associated Press and USA Today Coaches Polls after being No. 10/9 last week. Carolina will host Louisville on Wednesday in a meeting of top-10, conference opponents.
