Wayne Ellington’s game may not stand out to the average basketball fan. He’s averaged 7.4 points on 41.1 percent shooting over his career. But to those who watch the game closely, the 29-year-old Ellington is a rare breed. There aren’t as many true catch-and-shoot players as there used to be when Ray Allen and Reggie Miller were two of the NBA’s best players.
