Tim Federowicz's contract purchased by San Francisco Giants

Tim Federowicz was added to the San Francisco Giants' 25-man roster Tuesday. With Buster Posey headed to the 7-day disabled list, Federowicz will serve as the Giants' backup catcher until he is back. With a capable Nick Hundley ahead of him, it's unlikely that Federowicz will see much playing time during his brief stint with San Francisco. (CBS Sports)
