UNC Basketball: K.J. Smith 2017-18 season preview

K.J. Smith, son of former UNC point guard Kenny Smith, joins the Tar Heels in 2017 as a sophomore walk-on. Smith attended the University of the Pacific last year as a freshman where he averaged 3.2 points, 0.8 rebounds and 0.8 assists in 13.5 minutes per game. He won’t gain eligibility until next season, but he will be able to practice and travel with the team.
