The fifth-ranked Spartans and ninth-ranked Tar Heels will meet in the championship game of the Victory Bracket of the Phil Knight Invitational at 8:30 p.m. ET Sunday at Moda Center (ESPN). History hasn’t been kind for MSU against North Carolina. The Spartans are 3-12 against the Tar Heels, with Tom Izzo holding a 2-9 record – four of those losses in the NCAA Tournament.
