While struggling to restore football glory, North Carolina somehow beat N.C. State the past two seasons. The first win triggered a belated dash toward Charlotte's tire bowl. The second win averted a potentially disastrous record. Tailback Ronnie McGill comprehends the math, but he doesn't understand the mirthful conclusion that Carolina now owns State.
