Baseball America Names Federowicz Freshman All-America

Just four days after earning a spot on the All-College World Series team, North Carolina catcher Tim Federowicz picked up first-team Freshman All-America honors from Baseball America, the publication announced Friday. The Apex, N.C., native batted .320 with 12 home runs and 62 RBI to help lead the Tar Heels to a school-record 54 wins and their runner-up finish at the CWS.
