Tar Heels’ security blanket? Charlotte has long been the answer

As the third-winningest team in NCAA basketball history with 2,206 victories, North Carolina has been good in a lot of cities. But the Tar Heels have been at their best in Charlotte. On Sunday in the NCAA tournament second round against Texas A&M, UNC will seek its 16th straight victory in the Queen City and a chance to improve its record to 142-19 in the city since 1956.
