New York Knicks will hire David Fizdale as next head coach

Former Memphis Grizzlies coach David Fizdale has agreed to become the Knicks' new head coach, a person with knowledge of the situation confirmed to USA TODAY Sports. In addition to Fizdale, they spoke to Mark Jackson, David Blatt, David Fizdale, Jay Larrañaga, James Borrego, Mike Budenholzer, Mike Woodson, Mike Brown, Jerry Stackhouse and Kenny Smith.
