Tar Heels struggle behind Miller
Posted May 25, 2006
In two weeks, Andrew Miller will become a very rich young man. He certainly didn’t pitch like it Wednesday, though, and North Carolina struggled behind him. Miller, the 6-foot-6 junior lefthander projected as the top pick in Major League Baseball’s amateur draft, had his worst outing of the season in a first-round ACC Tournament game with rival N.C. State. His defense let him down, too, sending the second-seeded Tar Heels to today’s 10 a.m. elimination game against sixth-seeded Florida State.
