North Carolina’s offensive struggles continued from its season-opening loss to California while its defense failed to match its performance in Berkeley, resulting in another shocking blowout defeat at the hands of East Carolina on Saturday. The Tar Heels led the Pirates, 16-14, late in the second quarter. ECU outscored UNC, 27-3, over the final 31 minutes and 15 seconds.
