Trubisky’s Motivation Clear With Bears Rejecting Fifth-Year Option

Motivation has never been Mitch Trubisky’s problem. But the Bears have spelled out the stakes for him in 2020 — improve drastically or go the way of Jake Locker and Blaine Gabbert, the only two other highly drafted quarterbacks whose teams did not pick up their fifth-year options. The Bears, as expected, have declined to exercise the fifth-year option for Trubisky.
