Tar Heels Struggling With Sudden Change Defense

It’s called “sudden change defense,” and it basically means that moment when a defense is summoned to the field unexpectedly because of a turnover or special teams snafu. Sudden change defense is a problem for UNC, and the coaching staff knows it. “Honestly, I think that’s been one of our biggest issues,” UNC defensive coordinator Jay Bateman said.
