UNC Football reportedly hires Geoff Collins as new defensive coordinator

UNC reportedly has hired ex-Georgia Tech head coach Geoff Collins as its defensive coordinator. Collins orchestrated top-10 defenses at Florida (2015-16) and Mississippi State (2011-14) before becoming head coach at Temple (2017-18) and Georgia Tech (2019-22). Collins, a former linebacker at Western Carolina, started his coaching career in Cullowhee. (247 Sports)
