Former UNC hoops prospect Nolan Dennis asks for release from Memphis
Posted Apr 14, 2009
Nolan Dennis wowed sold out crowds at the GlaxoSmithKline Holiday Invitational in December, and at the time Dennis was a Memphis Tiger recruit. However, Dennis has asked for a release from the school after head coach John Calipari was hired at Kentucky. The release is expected to be granted in the next few days.
Dennis does not have a list of schools yet, but he is expected to take a hard look at the Wildcats. Numerous reports indicate that he has no interest in attending Memphis now that Calipari is no longer the coach.
