N.C. State proved it had plenty to play for
Posted Nov 28, 2009
Anyone who has said that a team with a 4-7 record doesn't have anything to play for in its season finale should have been at Carter-Finley Stadium on Saturday. It didn't hurt that the schedule gave the N.C. State Wolfpack a matchup against North Carolina to close what has been, to put it mildly, a disappointing season. "I want to thank whoever made the schedule," Wolfpack coach Tom O'Brien said after N.C. State beat UNC 28-27.
