Tudor: Bernard an SEC miss, UNC hit

There’s no longer much doubt that redshirt freshman Giovani Bernard is the present and likely future of UNC’s rushing attack. That issue was settled on a single play in the Tar Heels’ 24-22 win over Rutgers. When the 5-foot-10, 205-pounder took a lead pitch from quarterback Bryn Renner and ran for a 60-yard touchdown on a short-side sweep, Bernard’s status changed in a matter of about five seconds.
