Lack of consistent ground game dooms UNC

Bobby Rome had a much better day throwing the football than he did running with it. That's bad news for North Carolina. Rome plays fullback. But it underscores a big problem that helped doom the Tar Heels on Saturday to their first loss to rival North Carolina State since 2003: while they had little trouble making the big plays, they just couldn't string together enough of the smaller ones.
