Tar Heels rise to challenge
Posted Oct 8, 2007
At one point, the Tar Heels were hanging their heads on offense after another three-and-out situation, but then the Carolina defense, behind a sack from senior Hilee Taylor, stopped the Miami onslaught. "That one play, at that given moment, was clearly huge because it broke the momentum," Coach Butch Davis said. "It forced a punt. It was extraordinarily important. They were moving the football." From then on, the Tar Heels played with intensity and poise on both sides of the ball, just as they had throughout the first half of the game.
