Butch Davis: UNC should be a top-10 program
Posted Oct 16, 2014
The final poll of the 1998 season – that was the last time UNC football was ranked in the AP top 10. Former head coach Butch Davis, who led the Tar Heels out onto the field as a ranked team 11 times in his four-year coaching stint from 2007-10, said there is no reason UNC shouldn’t see the top 10 more often. “I felt like it was an institution that had all the potential to be a top-10, top-5 football program in the country,” Davis said Thursday.
