Posted Dec 4, 2006
North Carolina wide receiver Brandon Tate showcased his skills in the return game against Duke in a thrilling 45-44 victory. Right before halftime, Tate took a kickoff 97 yards for a touchdown to put the Tar Heels ahead. Then, with the game tied in the fourth quarter, Tate took a short punt 54 yards for the go-ahead touchdown. The 6-1, 195-pound sophomore flashes big-play potential with the football in his hands. His ability to accelerate is elite, and when he gets to the second level, he has the burst to turn the corner.
