UNC Football Offense Preview 2025: The Tar Heels Rebuilt Fast

UNC offensive coordinator Freddie Kitchens has plenty of parts to work with. Last year’s offense struggled with consistency. The passing game didn’t do much, the pass protection was lousy, and the offense scored 24 points or fewer five times. But the ground attack was solid, the transfer portal improved the depth, and this should be a steadier season. (College Football News)

Ethan Strand Finishes As 1,500m National Runner-up

UNC men's track and field team posted its highest team finish at the outdoor national championships since 2007 as the Tar Heels tied for 17th. The men's team finished in sixth in 2007. Scott Whisnant grew up in Jamestown, just outside of Greensboro, during the same time legendary coach began growing the basketball program at the University of North Carolina. 'Power of theater': UNC Department of Dramatic Art receives $2 million gift from alumna

University of North Carolina alumna Kathleen Ford has given a $2 million gift to the Department of Dramatic Art. The gift consists of a $1 million endowed fund and a $1 million expendable fund. Kathryn Hunter-Williams, chair and associate professor in the Department of Dramatic Art, said that the gift will be able to support theater experiences on all levels. (Daily Tar Heel)

Most NBA mock drafts project Drake Powell to be a first-round pick

The NBA draft is less than two weeks away, and most mock drafts are projecting UNC’s to be a first-round pick, with predictions as high as No. 17. Of the 12 mock drafts that either included both rounds or had Powell going in the first round when that was the only round projected, the average had him going No. 27 or No. 28 in the first round.
